The first time I heard Degan pray was at my son’s Thanksgiving Feast and he brought me to tears. The teacher randomly chose a student to pray for the class. As all of his peers and their parents and grandparents stood around, he instructed us to bow our heads. The prayer that was delivered blew me away. Not that I haven’t heard a powerful prayer before, but the words that came out of this young man’s mouth were sincere and delivered with compassion. I thought to myself, “this child knows what prayer is all about.” The Bible says in Matthew 6:7 (NKJV) And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. This was not a rehearsed or traditional prayer, but rather a young man standing in the presence of his Heavenly Father giving thanks on our behalf.
Degan is a God’s Mighty Kid because he is truly a Prayer Warrior.
